VCDS premiers the original musical ‘A Ladylike Murder’—a tragicomedy of Victorian proportions. Set in Kingston, Ontario in the 1890s, ‘A Ladylike Murder’ is the story of Elaine— a young woman struggling for autonomy and love in a restrictive society. With a cast of characters including scheming politicians and gossiping chorus of townsfolk, ‘A Ladylike Murder’ is a darkly funny and sometimes tragic look at the social hypocrisies of 19th century Canada.
